Welcome to my first attempt at a printable kit of the Battleship Fuso in 1:625 and 1:700 scale.

This model is based on the Fuso model in the game World of Warships, completely remodeled from the ground up, with many tweaks and adjustments to make it printable at stock 0.4mm nozzle that many printers have. Some small details (like AA guns and railings) are omitted due to size limitations, but I made sure that the overall look is maintained once fully assembled.

“What can be printed will be printed” is my approach to this project, and “Good Enough” is the intended result.

The print will take the full width and length of standard 256mm³ bed of Bambu printers and takes about 10 hours to print. Some refining will be required at the end, and pieces will have to be glued.

I've included labels on the sprue so you can figure out where the pieces will go just by looking at reference pictures, but I also attached a simple assembly guide.

Fully assembled kit

Features:

  • Zero support needed.
  • Only ~80g of materials for the main print (~another 80gr for bottom hull and standee)
  • Traversable turrets.
  • Notches for ease of assembly.
  • Separate bottom hull & standee.
  • You can mix and match parts if you so desire.

Disclaimer

This print will push the absolute limit of the printer in its stock form, so make sure everything is set up correctly and tuned to get the perfect print (Clean bed, filament tuning, flow calibration, etc)

For Bambu printers, please peel off the purge line after they are laid.

Print Settings (Double check):

  • Layer height: 0.1mm
  • Initial layer height: 0.28mm
  • Initial layer: 0.6mm
  • Wall generator: Arachne
  • Initial layer speed: 15mm/s
  • Outer wall: 30mm/s
  • Inner wall: 50mm/s

Make sure the first layer is perfect. If there are bed adhesion issue, either enable Brim, or use a glue stick.

Included in the print profiles are settings for eSun and Sunlu filaments but may not work for everyone.

I personally find Bambu's PLA Basic filament and its associated profile have the most flawless result but that's kinda expected.

Have a 0.2mm nozzle? Then you can print in 1/700 scale, with Classic wall generator and even finer details.

1:625 ---- 1:700

Multi-color example with wood colored deck and more defined windows (1:625 scale & 0.4mm nozzle variant)

If you have a bigger printer you can increase the size of the model but since I optimize it for 1:625 scale there won't be more details.

Good luck with the print!
