Update October 22 2022 - Added a whole version of the grip for anyone who wanted it.
Here is my Luke Skywalker lightsaber featuring a slide-open control box to reveal the internal circuitry as featured in a deleted scene from Return of the Jedi. Took a bit of effort to get the circuit to look like the one in prop photos.
Use supports for the control box.
The circuit board uses color swapping to get multiple colors with a single print nozzle. It needs a smaller nozzle for all the detail to show but also works with regular .4mm just with less detail. I used a .25mm nozzle for it. For the little wires, I printed a flat red disc with a skirt and used the skirt material for the wire, but I also included a model for it.
Filaments used
Ziro silk silver PLA, CC3D silk copper PLA, Overture matte black PLA.
Here is a guide that explains how color swapping works, at least with Prusaslicer: https://help.prusa3d.com/en/article/color-change_1687
Please note this is not the same design as the one I posted on Thingiverse a while back--that was a remix of CaseStudyno8's Luke lightsaber and this one is a new model made for Printables.com. Props to CaseStudyno8 for the inspiration.
